Letting Go

Every once in a while, I find myself feeling like I am in a whirlwind. My day is filled with busyness and even though I might seem productive, it just feels like I am getting no where.

The days get checked off the calendar, one-by-one. The number of days become months, and then years. Take a moment to sit still and be quiet and think about how you are spending your days.

I had to do this recently because as the last few years have passed by, I realized I was busy doing a lot of things that were not leading me to my dreams. I had to decide to let some things go.

I am a paper crafting artist. I like to draw, paint, cut, punch, and glue. When I moved recently, I realized my many interests were actually holding me back from accomplishing what I wanted to do with my business. It was tough, but I let go.

I packed up everything that did not help me with my business and put it away. It may not be forever, but for now I needed to let go of some things so that I could do better things.

If all our space is filled up then there is no room for other, more important things. The results? I have been so productive these last two months! I am excited to wake up and get busy and I have the space to do my work.

Letting go was hard at first, but the freedom has been great! My life seems to be moving forward in the direction of my dreams. That feels amazing!

What things are you holding on to that are actually holding you back? I would love to hear all about it!
