You may be laughing right now. I would be too if this tip wasn’t so helpful. I struggled for years when my bed sheets came out of the dryer. Usually, I just balled them all up and shoved them on the linen closet shelf or I just remade the bed with them. And then I decided to figure out the best way to fold my sheets. Don’t laugh, just read, and trust me, you will love this tip. But before I begin, I want to say that I like to keep two sets of sheets for each bed so I can remake them anytime without having to do laundry.
- The flat sheet is easy. Fold it in one direction and then the other. Fold one more time so it is a long rectangle shape and lay on a surface.
- Next fold the pillowcases and place on the end of the rectangle.
- Now let’s tackle that fitted sheet which is the difficult one. Fold in half and fit one corner pocket into the other. Then fold in the opposite direction, again fitting the corner pockets into one another. All four corners should be nested together. Lay this sheet on a surface and flatten as much as possible. Now, fold into a long rectangle and then into thirds. Place this sheet on top of the pillowcases.
- Lastly, and you will love this, fold the flat sheet around the fitted sheet and pillowcases. This makes a nice little bundle that you can place on your linen closet shelf. When you change the sheets on your bed, you can grab this bundle and you have all you need wrapped up together!
Cool, right? Simple and easy. Happy folding!
